Day 36 - Bergen, Norway
Today we met up with two more folks from Vik - Annelin - who was one of Kari's 11 year old students in 1998 - and her mom, Auslaug. They - along with Elinor and her mom - spent two weeks with us in 2000 in New York and we'd also seen them on other visits to Norway. Now it's Annelin who is soon to be a mom.
They took us up another 1000 feet higher than the Funicular to the top of the Gondola. While the weather was not as nice as the previous, it was none-the-less an amazing view. Yes, mid-May and there was snow on the ground up here. There was also a lovely restaurant where we enjoyed a leisurely lunch. As for the final shot of a Bergen shop ... some of you'll know why.
